Axcel and Riolu would high-five one another upon their successful capture. It was then that Axcel decided he would seek out a specific pokemon-- Scyther. He had known of it of course, he was no novice pokemon trainer. He was a former member of an elite division within team rocket, before the accident anyways. Although his pokedex had been reset, he was certain they resided in an environment such as this. Surely he would find one soon. |

Hm, still no Scyther?
His brow raised as he wandered the grasslands. Suddenly he heard a growl, and Axcel immediately turned around, alarmed and prepared for whatever may be near. To his surprise, it was just Riolu's stomach. He hadn't much food, but he did have something he knew Riolu would like. Axcel removed a piece of cheap candy from his pocket and flicked it towards Riolu, who caught it in his mouth and smiled, content for the moment.
With that, the two continued searching the grassy plains of route 02 in search of a Scyther. He was certain they resided in places such as this. His past experiences in other islands told him that much. |

Tch, this was taking too long! Axcel was beginning to grow impatient. He wanted to encounter a Scyther, preferably today!
"Oi, Riolu! Let's go for a jog, okay?" He said with a grin on his face. "Ri!" Riolu and Axcel would then start running through the plains. Hopefully the noise would disturb any lingering Scythers.

Due to your loud shouting, it gets tired of your annoying voice and as you go jogging, it jumps out in front of you, mouth agape as it tries to bite your head off frankly. |

"Well there's our Scyther!" Axcel said, not expressing any concern whatsoever about the fact that the Scyther is about to nom his head off. He was either very confident in Riolu or just that damn stupid. The reader is probably guessing the latter, so I say fuck you reader.
"Ri!" Riolu jumped up at an angle and intercepted the Scyther with it's quick attack. As it's head rammed into the gut of Scyther, Riolu caught it by surprise and dealt notable amounts of damage. The enemy pokemon would land on its feet in a distance, ready to tear apart the Riolu.
"Get ready Riolu, we're going to catch this one!" Riolu simply nodded, taking a fighting stance as the Scyther dashed towards the Riolu, it's bladed arms slicing at the air as it closed in on Axcel's companion. When the distance between the two was close enough for close quarters combat, Scyther would begin to swing it's left blade at the neck of Riolu.
"Now! Counter! Axcel exclaimed, and with that, the Riolu swung its right arm at the flat side of the Scyther's left blade, attempting to knock his arm so far back that the Scyther would lose its balance. He did this succesfully, however not without receiving a graze on his arm as well. Now, the Riolu began executing its counter and grabbed the thin body of the Scyther and suplexed the Scytehr onto its head, holding it in that position as Axcel removed a pokeball from his belt.
He hurled the pokeball at the head of the severely damaged Scyther, attempting to capture it before it freed itself from Riolu's grip.
