"Pi, pi, pi, pi, pi..."

Ryu and her Pikachu were jogging down Route 02, running through the tall grasses there, warm sun on their backs, just begging a Pokemon to hop out and battle them. Not only did Ryu want to catch more Pokemon, she also wanted to improve Gizmo's abilities and level. They were just starting out, so she was ready for a few messups, but hoped that all would go well. She hated to see Gizzy get hurt.

[ Pokemon Found: Buneary - Level 6 ]

Fixing the small puffs of fur on its head while sitting upon a lone rock.

The duo continued on until Gizmo spotted a Pokemon sitting on a rock. It looked like a bunny. Ryu pulled out her Pokedex and aimed the camera lens in its direction, zooming in.

"Awww, it's so cute!"

"Buneary. A normal type Pokemon. When it senses danger, it perks up its ears. On cold nights, it sleeps with its head tucked into its fur."

She flipped the Pokedex closed and smirked.

"Let's get'im Gizzy!"

"Pika! Pika!"

The yellow rodent then made his way quickly over and tackled the poor rabbit off it's rock, taking it completely by surprise.

When the rabbit sat back up, it was confused, with it's ears perked straight up. Then, it's expression changed, and it was ready to battle.

BATTLE!

"Gizzy! Use Thundershock!"

The Pikachu's red cheeks began to glow with electricity, and the brown rabbit Pokemon looked shocked to see such actions. As the electricity left Gizmo's cheeks, it sped over and zapped the Buneary, leaving him sparking and stunned. The pokemon snapped out of it's daze, however, and ran forward, prepared with an attack of it's own. With it's front right arm, it used a Pound on Gizmo's head, making him angry.

He lunged forward, once more filling his cheeks with charge before unleashing the power upon his opponent. The Buneary seemed weak, and Ryu wanted its cuteness around all the time. She reached into the orange backpack on her shoulders and grabbed a pokeball, expanding it by pressing the unlock button once, and then lobbing it to hit the buneary's head, where it bounced back and a opened, releasing a stream of light that absorbed the Pokemon inside. It landed on the ground and shook a bit.

Ryu waited for the telltale click of a capture.

With the Buneary now captured, Ryu decided to nickname the female rabbit BunBun. Quite the endearing name for such a narcissistic creature.

Anyway, Her and Gizmo continued to scope the area for other pokemon, checking under rocks, in trees, and even in the water when they went for a short swim.

She sure hoped they'd find something excellent next.

A wild Exeggcute appeared!

"Pi!"

A strange cracking sound came from behind Ryu, and Gizmo seemed to have heard it first, with his outcry coming from her right. She turned to find an Exeggcute, not exactly one of her favorite, Pokemon angrily glaring at her, she supposed she'd disturbed it in some way. When it began to charge, Gizmo was quick to charge up a Thundershock, sending it hurdling towards the foe. With a sizzle, that egg was fried like an... egg. In moments, though, the foe was rising once more, tumbling forward clumsily as if walking on... eggshells. With a jump, the pokemon was hurtling down from the sky egg-ceedingly fast, aiming to land itself on Gizmo's head. No way was Gizmo gonna have a sunny-side-up on his head, and he quickly darted to the side, letting the egg pokemon fall to the ground, only to have it scramble back to it's... shell once more.

Quickly after this, Gizmo would run up with a nice Tackle before coming to rest beside Ryu, waiting to see what would transpire. It seemed this egg was hard-boiled to win, and its shell wouldn't be cracked so easily, so with another Thundershock, this time with everything he had, he'd attack before the egg could shell out another runny move.. Gizmo planned to have this one fried well-done.
