xx learning from the mistakes

[/i] like the city at night. despite the overall lovey-dovey settings that she could only dream of outside of her hometown, flint city was filled with corruption, shady organizations, and who-knows-what else. those shady organizations blended in so well, both during the day and at night, but at night was when things really started kicking up another notch. avril never really knew who the rude people in uniforms were, but she knew enough to stay away when they decided to prowl the streets.

one day, avril stumbled upon a wild glameow that managed to slip into the city undetected. the two of them didn't exchange many words that day, however; upon first sight, the glameow hissed, expecting avril to flinch, and run off to her home. of course, avril, having been hardened by her daily life in the city could care less for the pokémon's hissing, and simply told it to shut up. the glameow responded to this apparent attitude in an odd way, and, well, avril had gained new-found respect from the creature. one thing lead to another, and the two had found themselves on their very own pokémon journey; of course, avril was just happy that she didn't need to see flint city any longer.
