Biotite Gym

Cyrus is the leader of the Gym in Biotite City, and a master of Poison Type Pokemon. Cyrus is a calculating scientist who simply loves to speculate and analyze, however he is quite friendly when engaged in conversation. Short black hair stands in haphazard spikes and thick-rimmed glasses are worn upon his face. He is typically wearing a lab coat of some kind with a black short-sleeve shirt and khaki pants. His Pokeballs are stored within the lab coat he wears.

Cyrus’s gym is designed to give his Poison Types the added advantage. The actual arena itself is constructed of hard steel, and a thin, violet haze hangs in the air. Strange steel pillars of varying heights and widths stick out from the arena's floor, adding an extra dimension to the battle. A moat of toxic sludge surrounds the outside of the arena, however, this is mostly for show as it lies out of bounds. The two trainers stand on opposite sides of the arena, which is twenty meters long and ten meters wide. The arena itself is raised about a meter above ground. There are no windows within the Arena as the spectator benches stand about five meters away from the arena itself. The ceiling is open, allowing the elements to play a role within the battle.

When defeated, Vern gives the Toxic Badge, a purple colored badge that resembles a droplet of poison, projecting the trainer’s victory over poison pokemon.
