Zangoose had been caught. Perfect. Now he had a speeding blade to work with. His pokemon seemed to be awake now, and his energy adrenaline was up, so packing his camp, him krabby and gastly strolled along the beach of the route. Chimchar and zangoose having just been battling each other were most likely tired, so he let them rest in their pokeballs. It was a nice enough night. He and the boys had had plenty of rest yesterday overall, so it was good they were getting an early start.
The sand was a comfortable pad as they walked, giving them adequate cushioning. As the sun began raising over the horizon, Muteki began to notice something skimming across the water. What was that thing? It looked....It looked like a rather large pokemon from this far away.

The pokedex lit up, and began its robotic speach about the pokemon. Apparently it was a Tropius. They eat fruit and have their favorite grow around their neck. “A flying and a grass type?” Maybe I can make friends with it. This way I won’t have to use my pokemon in another fight. They have been running a gauntlet recently. Hmm. Ok, hey chimchar come out. letting Chimchar pop out of his pokeball, he’d make sure he’d healed enough earlier just in case. He hadn’t taken to much damage, and the hour or so rest had given him a new vigor.
“Ok Chimchar. Head up that tree and help Tropius reach the fruit at the very top.” Chimchar nodded and climbed the tree with his monkey like agility. Reaching the top he began picking berries and handing them to the tropius. Turning the charms on a bit, Muteki walked up to the Tropius slowly and said “Hi tropius. Chimchar, keep the berries coming pall.”

The Tropius seems thankful for your assistance however it's still confused as to why you randomly helped it out of the blue.

“Well, Tropius, you seem like the powerful type of pokemon. I’m currently on my way to earn a few gym badges. You could help quite a deal with that. Rather then battling and trying to capture you, I figured, hey, lets just talk. I’ll make you a deal. You come be my pokemon friend, and i’ll make sure you get as much fruit as you can eat. And you’ll learn to be strong enough to stop anyone from every hurting the pokemon in this area again.” Should the tropius have difficulty understanding, he knew gastly would, and would translate for him.
Then, holding up one of his empty pokeballs in his hand, he showed it to Tropius who he hoped would nod acceptance to the prospect after hopefully being convinced by gastly his long time friend, and his chimchar and krabby who he’d been nothing but kind to.

“Alright, We got a new power player.” All the smiled with their various calls, as Muteki released tropius and zangoose to make everyone’s acquaintance. It was high time they kept going though. They had an early start, so they could afford some breaks but their burning daylight. As the Pokemon began to meet, Muteki began calling back those that were tired to their pokeballs, and after having Chimchar gather a large amount of berries, he headed on down the road.

Ahh, a nice relaxing forest. Now they could travel peacefully, and maybe get to that gym they were going to take a badge from. As they strolled something seemed to brush along Muteki’s shoulder and looking up he was confronted by nothing but a series of jaws. Screaming and grabbing a pokeball, Muteki threw ChimChar to the side and released him as he dove to the ground. “EMBER” Chimchar spewed a small stream of flames out in the middle of the green monster and his trainer, giving Muteki enough time to get out of the way. “HOLY RAPTOR JESUS.”
Now the two Pokémon were squaring off. One protecting its master, the other trying to get its meal. The Carnivine launched into the offensive and as it’s tentacles tried to wrap around Chimchar, Muteki called for another Ember attack. The gout of flames forced Carnivine back long enough for Chimchar to be commanded to Leer. The carnivine seemed to be contemplating retreat, but that wasn’t an option now. With its battle readiness being taken away by leer, Chimchar roared another Ember attack into existence.
The Flames surrounded the Pokémon and it began to smolder. “One final Ember should get it out of our hair Chimchar” And with the command, the fire finished off the grass Pokémon for its masters safety.

Muteki would allow Chimchar to ride on his shoulder in case another incident happened like their last one. This forest wasn't so peaceful after all. The forest smelled like a combination of a cab air freshiner and old gym socks. He hated nature...at least nature that was like this. His feet were beginning to hurt from the uneven ground. He was beginning to contemplate simply burning the whole place down.
As they traveled they began to hear noises around them. Chimchar began growling in suspicion of everything in the area. Something was around here.

Soaring through the air, a level 4 Combee bursts through the trees, collecting nectar for its hive.

It was the buzzing of a bee Pokémon. Fumbling with his pokedex, Muteki aimed it at the Combee, and listened. “Combee, the bug pokemon. Combees gather honey for their hive, specifically their queen. One should be careful. Where there is one Combee, there are many.” Not heading the pokedex’s warning, Muteki got ready to fight.
“Alright Chimchar. time for some more battle experience. GO! Use Ember.” The flames shot out at the unsuspecting bee Pokémon, and enveloped it in an inferno. It wasn’t the most powerful fire attack, but with such a type advantage it would seem to have really taken its toll on the bee. As the flames subsided, Chimchar looked to make sure the opponent wasn’t still standing.

Though it took the ember attack, you surely dont expect 1 attack to fall another pokemon do you? The combee begins to shake it's body, emitting an intoxicatingly sweet scent in the air in an attempt to calm its enemy down. Next, a powerful gust attack was fired from it's flapping wings, aimed right at Chimchar.

The scent had its intended effect. Chimchar began giggling a bit and slouched. His will to fight was totally gone. As the gust came in though it blue the scent away and almost did the same to chimchar. Luckily for him, the bug Pokémon wasn’t very powerful, and was only really making a mediocre gust. Hanging onto the ground for dear life, Chimchar looked up and used Leer at Muteki’s command. The energy was slowly being pushed out of the bug, as its wings began to slump.
With the agility of a monkey, Chimchar stood up and Muteki called out “Ember”. The fire shot forth at the weakened Pokémon and once again the bug was engulfed in its mortal enemy, Fire.

Consumed by the ember attack, Combee lost all ability to battle as it fell to the ground. It would lay still, wounded from the Chimchars attack, now unable to fight.

The bee pokemon was finally done. Chimchar had put up the perfect offense, but walking and battling like this was sure to tire him out, so Pulling out his pokeball, Muteki called him back. Hopefully he wouldn't need him again as he exited the forst headed into the town.

While walking through the town, Muteki began enjoying a cool breeze. A lot of pokemon lived near the city itself, because of the way the townspeople lived in harmony with them. Walking through the town, near the outskirts, Muteki began to hear something rustleing in a nearby bush. Looking closely, Muteki called to whatever it was to come on out.
