Name: Stephanie
Pokemon:
- Staryu [ Level 8]
- Hoothoot [ Level 8 ]
[/ul][/ul] Reward Money: 800
It seemed that this young girl would be my first opponent. Of course, I was nervous to a certain extent but I was certain that if I simply kept my head clear, I would be able to arise as the victor. Even though I was aiming to become a Professor, that didn’t mean that my Pokemon weren’t capable of being powerful. Hell, they had the potential to be vastly more powerful than the Trainers who constantly conditioned their Pokemon’s strength in order to achieve the best performance while in battles, especially if said battle was for a Gym Badge. Regardless, I would stand behind Aero as Stephanie would be ten meters away from my position with her Staryu. The strange star-fish like pokemon would seemingly be looking straight at Aero though I would never know due to the thing having no eyes whatsoever. With that, Stephanie would yell: Staryu, Water Gun! With that, the opponent’s Staryu would aim a single appendage at Aero as a thin, pressurized jet of azure water would be projected outwards, hoping to nail the Gligar right in the face. However, I need not say anything for Aero knew what he needed to do. With a simple side-step, he’d immediately take to the skies so that his mobility would be at its maximum potential which would then allow him to execute offensive and defensive maneuvers when need be. For now, he hovered over the Arena itself, waiting upon my decision. Mm. Use Poison Sting!
I did not want have Aero engage in CQC just yet for I wanted to merely see how the Staryu would react. The countless amount of poisonous needles were spread over too wide of a radius and thus, the Staryu couldn’t dodge all of the needles and thus was hit by a moderate amount of time. The damage would not be severe though the irritating poison would distract the Staryu for a brief moment, much to the exclamation of Stephanie. As Stephanie commanded for the usage of another Water Gun, the Staryu’s aim would be true as the Water Gun would land directly in Aero’s chest. The Gligar would be sent spinning through the air as he’d try to regain his balance as I’d simply watch silently from below, obviously worried about the damage he had taken. What occurred to me was that the Razor Fang that was on his possession would be dropped by him because of him taking damage from the Water Gun. The sharp incisor would simply fall slowly from the air where I simply extended a hand and caught it, careful not to cut myself on accident. Not worrying about giving the Razor Fang back that instant, I would simply analyze the situation set before me. The Staryu seemed to like to keep its distance away from Aero which would cause me to assume that it didn’t perform well in close quarters. The fact that Aero could attack from the air would only shift the battle in our favor. With a nod, I would say: Get in close and use Cross Poison! With a point of my finger, I would watch as the pink…bat-thing would fly towards the Staryu, his appendages already coated in the recognizable purple area, constituting the collection of poison energy. With a slash, the afterimage would have already been created as the attack would be made however it would not find itself successful as the Staryu was quite nimble in its own right as it quickly hopped off to the side. Aero simply definitely surprised by this however without my need of a command, he’d continue to swoop after the Staryu and still managed to connect with a Cross Poison. I watched as the Staryu would tumble through the grass and earth, obviously looking as it was taking vast injury. Regardless, I would simply call Aero off in order to give the Staryu a chance of recovery if it were still fighting. Being a Professor, I really didn’t feel it was commonplace to simply beat a Pokemon into submission if it were just a friendly spar such as this and because of this, I would allow the Staryu time for recovery however it would not be able to muster enough power to continue and as a result, it would faint as the core would flash, indicating the Staryu’s poor condition. Then, Aero gave me a certain look. I really didn’t know what it was however it must have been of importance as I would quickly throw the Razor Fang towards him as he’d catch it with a pink pincher. Then, a blinding light… The process of the evolution was drastic. I mean, ears got larger, body got larger, teeth became numerous and sharper, I would simply sit there as I’d experience an actual evolution of a Pokemon though I’d realize how much scarier that Aero looked at least in my own opinion. Obviously happy with his recent evolution, Aero would take the time to check himself out as he’d look at me with large yellow eyes. Putting up a thumbs-up, I’d say: ‘EY. You evolved into a…Gliscor right?
Aero would nod as he’d smile wide, all of the fangs within his mouth visible as he did so. I kind of winced at the sight though I tried to mask it as well as possible. Pointing ahead at the Hoot-Hoot that Stephanie had pulled out, I would attempt a new move that Aero possessed, Ice Fang. As I would request such a maneuver, I’d notice the accumulation of cold energy within his mouth as he’d swoop in and clamp his fangs on the small bird. I would wince once again as I saw the apparent pain that the Hoot-Hoot was in as localized freezing would fester amongst the bitten area. Since the Hoot-Hoot was already stunned, I felt that I would capitalize upon the opportunity. Poison Jab! It would be funny since Aero really didn’t have a hand that was like mine but regardless, his right pincher would be materialized within a purple energy as he’d pretty much backhand the Hoot-Hoot like a pimp who demanded money from his ho. I’d watch as the small bird would flutter through the air as it took great damage and as it lay motionless on the earthen floor, obviously unconscious. Stephanie wasn’t too pleased with losing though with shared comments and compliments, she would hand me my award money as I’d continue on my way.

[ Searching – Aipom ]
Y’all two see an Aipom?
Vice and Aero would shake their heads as we could continue to look. Vice would simply hop upon Aero’s shoulder as he would look from an elevated position. I really wanted an Aipom, those things were so funny and lively from what I’ve read however the only difficulty was spotting them. However, I have read that they are most present where they are exposed to increased levels of human contact. Seeing that this route was as populated as it was, it wouldn’t be too hard spotting a single Aipom right?

Man, still nothin'...
With that, I would sit on one of the many metallic park benches that lined the road, reaching into my backpack and taking out a bag of pretzels. Of course, as I opened the plastic bag open, two heads turned to my position as Aero and Vice would simply watch me eat. It was apparent that they wanted some of the share though Aero took it a little bit too far as saliva would drip from his visible fangs as his yellow eyes would be glued upon the plastic bag.
You ALWAYS gotta eat everything do you?
With a short smile, I'd hand a single pretzel to the two as Aero would simply swallow it whole, like usual. Still looking around, I would say:
It shouldn't be too hard to find a purple monkey that's always smiling...

Hanging from a tree branch, your Gliscor sees something purple. Upon further investigation, An Aipom can be seen hanging from the tree and looks to be eager to fight.

[ OOC: Aw, I want it to be a girl though. XD ]
Huh?
With Aero pointing to something behind me, I would turn to see that it was indeed an Aipom, hanging from one of the many trees that littered this route. Although I wasn’t one to be aggressive, this Aipom seemed to be the aggressor in this situation and thus, jumped out of the tree and began making her way towards us. I really didn’t want a fight so I simply watched as the Aipom came closer and closer before saying:
Hey, how you doin’? The Aipom would make an confused expression before she would simply shrug and nod her head which caused me to infer that she was indeed doing well. However, she would look at Aero and immediately become wide-eyed as she would jump upon my shoulders and hide behind my head. You had to admit, Aero was a pretty scary lookin’ dude now but I sympathized for the Aipom. Aero simply stood there with a perplexed expression while Vice hopped open my shoulders as well as he’d talk in Pokemon Language, y’know, the stuff that I couldn’t understand one bit. Then, it became a three-way conversation as Vice and the Aipom would hop off my shoulders and begin talking with Aero. It was the most interesting thing even though I really couldn’t understand a lick of the conversation itself. Finally, the Aipom turned towards me and simply pointed towards me. Not sure on what she meant, I would reach for a single Pokeball in my pocket and simply toss it at her. It seemed that no resistance would be made on her part however I couldn’t really be sure about that now could I? Regardless, I would sit on the bench and wait to see whether or not the catch was successful.[/blockquote]

The ball would roll around and to put it simply the Aipom would allow for the capture to occur.

[ Searching - Marill ]
Well, it seemed as if the convincing worked. Immediately, I'd release the Aipom and have her socialize with the other two. While that was occurring, Aero and Vice would inform Aoi of the current situation and as such, I had four pairs of eyes looking for my next Pokemon of choice however I would need to locate a water source of some sort. With the multitude of ponds that were scattered through the park, it would be easy to find a single one in which the four of us would scan for my next Pokemon of choice.

I see one!
I would point as Aero, Aoi and Vice would all look in the same direction at the small blue mouse. Marill then made her way over to us as she would make her way towards us, apparently wanting a fight. Pointing at Vice, she would fling her small body at him and attempt to tackle him. However, a guard would be placed forward as the shock would be absorbed from the hard Tackle. Afterwards, Vice’s right claw would already be reared back as he’d scratch the Marill in retaliation, obviously causing some pain.
C’mon now Vice, that was unnecessary.
The Sneasel would simply give me a stare with those big ol’ pink eyes of his. The Marill would immediately begin crying after being scratched which yanked my heart. Aw, I couldn’t help but feel so sorry for the small blue mouse. Walking towards her, I’d kneel down and inspect her for any injuries. I couldn’t see any though I would do something in order to mitigate the angst that she was feeling with a single
Pretzel.
Yes, one of the greatest snack foods to ever grace the earth would be distributed towards the Mariil. Her eyes would grow wide as I handed her the miraculous food and with her paws, she would grasp the Pretzel and immediately eat it. She savored the taste of the Pretzel as her crying would instantly stop. My left hand grasped around a Pokeball as I displayed the spherical device to her:
You wanna come along with me?
Before I could even finish the syllable on “me”, the Marill would tap the Pokeball with her paw and get transferred inside the device. I could only sit and wait for the confirmation of my capture.

[ ENTER ]
Name: Stephanie
Pokemon:
- Staryu [ Level 8]
- Hoothoot [ Level 8 ]
[/ul][/ul] Reward Money: 800 [ ] - Denotes translation from Pokenese to English.Learning Ice Beam – Vice.
Stephanie and I have become friends to say the least and another spar to better both of our battling skills would obviously be beneficial to both parties. I sure hoped to get my team of mine stronger so that they would become more confident in their skills and also be pleased with their progress as well. However, Vice would alert me of a technique in which he learned, Ice Beam to be exact. The compression and utilization of icy energies in order to project forth a freezing ray that can definitely put the hurt upon an unsuspecting Pokemon. Seeing this, I would keep this technique in mind as the Staryu would be Stephanie’s first and typical starter for this small spar. Alright my Staryu! How about we start things off with a Water Gun?
The Staryu would happily oblige to this statement as the Water Gun would be aimed in an azure stream at the Sneasel however I wouldn’t allow Vice to be easily targeted though Vice already knew this before me. With my warning, a dodge would be made, a swift jump to the left, as the distance would allow us to counter with a ranged offensive maneuver. I began thinking, why not counter with Ice Beam, the exact technique Vice wished to learn? Thinking the distance between us for a moment, my eyes would flicker back and forth between Vice and Staryu before I would say: Try out that Ice Beam you were wantin’ to learn Vice! [ ALRIGHT. LET’S DO THIS SHIT. ] His claws / hands or whatever his appendages were called would cup forth upon his right side as the accumulation of the icy energies would manifest itself into a light blue sphere. It was a rather amazing sight to see that he possessed such ability as the beam would be shot forth. Jagged bolts of icy rays would spark through the air towards the Staryu however the Staryu was evasive enough to avoid getting hit by this powerful maneuver, a rather impressive move to say the least. I would take the time to give a thumbs-up towards Stephanie however Vice wasn’t going to let the Staryu capitalize on its evasion. Seeing the anxiety within him, I would say: Follow it up with a Scratch then my man!
Vice would immediately break forth using his immense speed, it was actually difficult for me to discern his movements considering his speed and in seemingly seconds, he would reach the Staryu and deliver a critical Scratch with his razor-sharp claws. The hit itself had to really been powerful for it put the Staryu out of commission with just a single hit. However, Vice knew that this was a friendly spar as he would allow Stephanie and the Staryu to recuperate as appropriate rest would be given for the Staryu. It seemed as if we had bested one of her Pokemon as the final one would be soon to come. As the Hoothoot would be summoned forth onto the sparring field, I would notice Vice turn around and give me this look with fuschia optics. I didn’t particularly understand what the look was for before he spoke: [ Just watch this Loy! I’m going to get it this time! Watch! ]
I didn’t understand the Pokenese that he was excitedly speaking as he pointed a finger at me while speaking. Seriously, all I heard was: Sneasel Sne- Sneasel Sneasel Snea- Sneasel!
I would merely give a perplexed expression as Vice’s eyes would lower as he would curse slightly. The language barrier would soon have to be hurdled for Vice really wanted to communicate with me however my absent knowledge about Pokenese would hinder the two of us from doing so. Nevertheless, our attention would be upon the Hoot-Hoot located ahead of us as Vice would ready himself. Stephanie would bounce excitedly as she would announce for the Hoot-Hoot to perform Hyponosis. I had to admit that I was worried with the attack itself as it definitely held potential in order to properly immobilize Vice. The Hoot-Hoot’s eyes would glow blue as Vice would slowly begin to fall within a trance, his form teetering back and forth as he fought drowsiness and overall, sleep. I would not just sit idly and watch as my buddy would be manipulated by the opponent as such as I would say: Vice, use Leer to try to snap yourself out of the hypnosis! Fuschia optics would soon be enveloped in red as Vice would glare at his opponent, seemingly staring into his soul. The Hoot-Hoot’s energy would begin to be siphoned as such fatigue would lower the Hoot-Hoot’s concentration. Because of this, the hypnotic effects of the attack would be alleviated as Vice would shake his head, trying to rid himself of the drowsy effects. It seemed as if my tactics worked, as I would watch as I would give the signal to Vice to use Ice Beam again, hopefully he would be able to improve in the execution of this powerful technique. His form would be same as before as his palms would cup together as the space between his two palms would increase as the sphere of icy energy would increase as more of his vigor would put into the attack. His eyes would be locked upon his target as the Beam would be released in a cold flash. It seemed as if his aim would be true as the Ice Beam would strike the Hoot-Hoot with utmost precision, causing localized freezing from the attack itself. Though the Hoot Hoot seemed to have the potential to go onward, Stephanie would not allow her companion to take further damages and thus, stopped the spar as is. Congratulating Vice, I would attain my winnings from the extremely wealthy Stephanie for such money was simply pocket change for her. However, even though the spar was over, I accompanied her to the Pokemon Center to where proper treatment to her Pokemon could be administered.

Name: Stephanie
Pokemon:
- Staryu [ Level 8]
- Hoothoot [ Level 8 ]
[/ul][/ul] Reward Money: 800 Learning Ice Beam - Vice [ 8 / 10 ] Learning Double Hit - Aoi [ 0 / 25 ]
It seems as if Stephanie would be interested in another sparring session as I hoped that Vice would be able to grasp the concepts of Ice Beam within the frame of this short spar. However, I would be certain to have the Razor Claw on my figure so that when he reached the appropriate point of experience, he would be able to transcend to the next level, his evolution I suppose. Anyways, the battle would be immediately started however I would notice that the Staryu had learned a variety of attacks upon our last battle and this would become evident upon Stephanie’s first command. Psychic Staryu!
Immediately, I would notice a faint blue aura surrounding Vice as he would be controlled against his will. It had to be working of the Staryu as he would begin to levitate in mid-air as his confusion completely reflected the same that I was experiencing though I managed to deduce the mechanics of the technique itself upon witnessing it first-hand. Then, using otherworldly force, Vice would be hurled to the right as his sleek form would slide against the soft grass though he managed to flip himself over onto his feet. It seemed that this would be the time for retaliation as I would signal Vice to make his advance forward as I would say: Alright, get in close with a Quick Attack!
Man, he could run. I couldn’t even keep up with the guy as my eyes would only pick up the white trail that was left behind because of the quick execution of the attack. Upon him getting within melee range, he would forcefully knock the Staryu backwards as the small star-like Pokemon would be pushed back. Then, it would be time to capitalize. How about that Ice Beam you’ve been workin’ on? The preparation phase of the Ice Beam would be short and sweet as Vice managed to propel the frosty ray at the Staryu with remarkable speed and precision and the Staryu would simply be out of luck as the Ice Beam would hit it again as it would be knocked out temporarily, therefore constituting for a loss. A thumbs up would be given for the recent victory as the Hoot-Hoot would promptly be substituted in. It was nice having an audience though it was made up of my own Pokemon as they simply sat there and watched. Upon a grace period being passed for preparations, I would ask of Vice to pull off another Ice Beam at the small bird however Stephanie was aware of the Ice Beam’s potential and thus, alerted her Pokemon of the impending attack. The evasion was swift and smooth as the Hoot-Hoot would counter with a Peck. Vice was quick enough to dodge given my warning beforehand and thus, I felt it was appropriate for me to switch Pokemon. Waving at Aoi, I would hand Vice the Razor Claw as the transition would be made. She seemed to be rather excited about a battle as her enthusiasum would surely pave towards a victory in the long run. Alright Aoi! Get in close with a Tail Whip and knock him into the air!
I think quickness ran within the team as the purple monkey would deftly make her way towards the Hoot-Hoot and with the clench of the fist upon her tail, she would slam the Hoot-Hoot upward into the air, allowing me to capitalize upon the given opportunity. However, I noticed a little bit commotion going on between the side-line group but I couldn’t understand any of that verbal communication. Seriously, I needed a Pokenese translator or something. Despite this, I would notice that Aoi would be able to try a certain tactic, one that consisted of delivering two quick hits using her tail it seemed. Now, finish it off with a Double Hit! Her face spelt confusion however improvisation would allow the request to be fulfilled as she would simply deliver two quick hits with her tail which ultimately caused the Hoot-Hoot to collide with the floor below, unconscious. It seemed I had won again. However, out of the corner of my eye, I would notice Vice begin to be coated within an white light as his form would begin to shift. Taller he would become and upon the flash ending, I would notice that he’d successfully evolve into a Weavile. He would begin freaking out excitedly about his recent transformation as I’d thank Stephanie for the revenue as the entire group would exit along with me.
+ 12 EXP - Vice Evolution to Weavile [ Vice ] + 5 EXP - Aoi. + 800 Yen. [/blockquote]
