Walking back from Galena town, having used the Pokemon center... Suddenly a girl, no older than Beltran ran up to him as fast as she could and began yelling. "When two Trainers lock eyes, they have to battle!" she yelled, standing in front of Beltran, who seemed to just cock an eyebrow and look at her as if she was utterly loony. Beltran shrugged and spoke. "Fine... I accept." He said as the two spaced out 10 meters in either direction facing each other. "Ladies first" Beltran said with a smirk painted upon his face as the girl began fuming, pulling out a Pokeball and making hit expand in her hand. "STARYU, I CHOOSE YOU!" She shouted as the ball left her hand in a graceful manner. Beltran, took out his Pokedex and scanned the Star shaped pokemon that the girl had just sent out. "Staryu, the Star Shaped Pokemon. The core of this Water Pokémon shines in a rainbow of seven colors, a core that is valued by some as a type of jewelry."

"So... a Water Pokemon eh? This will be fun." He muttered as he unclipped a Pokeball from his belt and tossed it high into the air. Releasing The Pokemon inside. "I choose you! Tauros!" He shouted as the Bull Pokemon was released from it's confines with a threatening cry as it scraped it's hooves against the ground as it eyed up Staryu. "Staryu! Use Water Gun!" the girl shouted as Beltran watched as the tip of the Staryu's body moved forward and readied a blast of water. "Tauros, Use Rage!" Beltran yelled as the trio of tails on the rear of the Bull began whipping itself into an unbelievable rage as it charged the Staryu in front of it. "Tauros, Dodge!" Beltran would yell as the water gun aimed and fired at Tauro's previous spot as it moved out of the range and gored the little staryu into the air.

"Staryu, use harden as you're falling!" Stephanie yelled as the starfish-like pokemon began to shine as it's body stiffened and became hard as rock, falling towards Tauros like a Frisbee. "Tauros, as it's coming for you, use Tail whip!" he shouted as the Staryu was closing in on Beltran's Pokemon's haunches. As the Staryu hit the bull pocket monster, Tauros had to chance to use the attack as the red cored star shaped water pokemon made contact with Tauros' rear with little damage to itself. "Damn... other trainer's pokemon are stronger than wild ones... that's for sure." he said, biting his right thumb as he began to worry. Could Tauros do this? Should he switch him out?

It was a tough choice, but Tauros' rage made the decision for him, it roared triumphantly as got to it's feet, despite the Staryu's attack to it's lower back. "Tauros! Use Rage again!" He shouted as Tauros charged the the starfish once more, hitting it so hard it when flying, spinning through the air with a more powerful rage than last time. Tauros! Finish it off! Charge it again with Rage!" Tauros' entire head was red as it began charging with a massive building rage as Staryu had no way to move as it slowly attempted to get back up to it's star points. As it got up, it was sent flying into a rock formation behind Stephanie with a crash and rising dust. Tauros was still raging around the area, hitting the trees around him, knocking leaves and fruits loose all over. But was Staryu really still able to battle?

With a deafening whirring sound, the Staryu came flying out of the pile of rubble that it's impact created from the rock. Staryu, Use water gun! Cool that Tauros off!" Stephanie screamed as her voice slightly cracked. The Staryu came within 3 meters of Tauros as it turned around towards the starfish. "Tauros! One more time! Send it reeling! RAGE!" Beltran shouted as the Tauros' face became a deep red as it was extremely causing itself pain from it's tails whipping itself. As the water gun came flying at Tauros, the weak water type technique did absolutely nothing to contain Tauros' rage as it ran through the jet of water and sent staryu flying skyward with it's core blinking red. It had obviously fainted at impact with Tauros' head.

"Staryu, Return!" She yelled as her Pokeball shot out a stream of red energy that hit the Pokemon and sucked it into the ball. You got lucky! I choose you! Hoothoot!" She shouted as she threw out a Pokeball containing the owl Pokemon. Beltran shot out the return beam at Tauros and sucked him into his Pokeball and pulled out his Pokedex. "Hoothoot, the Owl Pokémon. Hoothoot stands on one leg, but uses both its powerful eyes to see clearly even through the darkest night. " the piece of machinery chirped as Beltran put it back into his pocket. "I guess this is as good of a time as ever to do this..." He muttered as he popped a ball from his belt and expanded it, replacing Tauros' in it's spot. "I choose you! Buizel!" He shouted and toss the ball in the air, releasing the water weasel into the air, landing on the ground in fighting pose.

"Buizel, use Water Sport!" he shouted as a spray of water flew from Buizel's mouth and encompassed the entire area with a mist that hung in the air as Hoothoot took to the air. "Hoothoot, use Tackle through the mist!" She shouted as the owl Pokemon flew through the air and attempted to slam into Buizel, while Beltran shouted. "Buizel, fight fire with fire! Use Sonic Boom!" As Buizel turned towards Hoothoot's general direction, flicking his tails and creating a sonic boom to collide with Hoothoot's tackle, knocking it backwards.

"Hoothoot! use Hypno...!" Stephanie shouted as Beltran cut her off. "Buizel, use Quick attack! Don't let it get up!" Buizel gave a loud "Bui Bui!"[/i] it shouted as it began running as Hoothoot's eyes began to glow red. Before the attack could be directed at Buizel, Buizel slammed into the grounded Hoothoot with a thunderous Quick Attack, knocking it backwards and causing it to roll slightly on it's side."Keep it up Buizel, don't let it get up!" Beltran shouted as Buizel jumped backwards.

"Hoothoot! Get up and use Foresight!!" The girl shouted as the Pokemon's eyes turned a glowing red color and picked out Buizel's location within the mist it had created with Water Sport. "Buizel, use Water Gun!" He shouted as Hoothoot flew upwards, avoiding the blast of water from the weasel's mouth. "Keep it up Buizel! Keep trying to hit it!" He shouted as Buizel kept shooting jets of water through it's lips towards Hoothoot, who kept dodging them.

Finally, after several shots from Buizel's water guns, one finally hit as Hoothoot began to spiral out of control, hitting the ground with a loud thud. "Quick! Use Quick attack, knock it out!" he shouted as Buizel's feet began to carry him extremely fast towards his target that just ate dirt thanks to his water gun attack. Making contact, Buizel smacked into the owl Pokemon head first, sending it flying to the ground in front of it's trainer. But had it fainted?

Watching with a quiet intensity, Beltran's eyes grew in size as he also grew amazed with his Pokemon's power. From this battle, the two had seemingly grown stronger. Not Significantly, but still stronger. As the Quick attack connected and caused her Hoothoot to roll backwards to her side, now fainted. She recalled her Pokemon and threw the money I was owned upon the ground in a huff and left towards the Pokemon center. "Good work Buizel! Return!" Beltran said to his strong sea weasel. When he was sucked into his ball, he picked up the money and added it to his wallet, there was one thing he simply could say as the girl walked away. "Man... what a bitch" He would mutter as he left the area, he would have to pass through Biotite city. His Pokemon were in good condition, so a Pokemon center visit was not needed.

Walking through his home city, Beltran gave no thought to the area around him. Through one entrance and out another, he went through the town with no second thoughts.

Entering territory in which Beltran was somewhat familiar with now, he walked along, all of his Pokemon contained. As he walked along, Pidgey and other bird Pokemon flew overhead along with bug type pokemon fluttering along behind the flocks of flying types. Beltran seemed rather uninterested as he continued to walk along, through the high grass of the area. Deciding to take up camp for a few hours, he tossed out his two strongest Pokemon. "Munchlax and Tauros! I choose you!" he would shout as the two pokemon flew out of the thrown balls in a burst of white light and landed on the ground in front of Beltran. "Ok guys, I need the two of you to be on the lookout for wild pokemon. Ok?" The two Pokemon gave the best nods they could as their eyes focused on their surroundings as Beltran began setting up camp.

Pokemon Found: Rhyhorn + Poochyena - Level 7

Both are within close proximity of each other but are minding their own business nevertheless.

[Beltran]

"Tauros, you take the Poochyena, Munchlax. You take the Rhyhorn! BREAK!" Beltran shouted as Munchlax ran towards the wild Rhyhorn and Beltran shouted. "Munchlax! Use Zen Headbutt!" A shimmering light formed around his head as an invisible force field protected the little glutton's head as he lept into the air and propelled himself straight into the Rhyhorn's head, causing it to recoil backwards into a tree, completely shredding it from it's trunk and crying in pain. Meanwhile, Tauros stampeded towards the small dog Pokemon as Beltran scanned both Pokemon with his Pokedex. "Poochyena, the Bite Pokémon. Poochyena is the pre-evolved form of Mightyena. Its biting strength is superior Pokémon, and has the endurance to chase opponents down until completely exhausted." next, the Rhyhorn. "Rhyhorn, the Spike Pokémon. Rhyhorn is known for its physical power and its considerable offensive and defensive skills."

As Tauros charged the Poochyena, Beltran shouted. "Tauros! Horn Attack!" as the bull grunted and rushed forward, it's horns glistening in the sunlight as it charged and hit the Poochyena head on and threw it into the air, several meters high. As it was falling, Beltran's attention was diverted to Munchlax, who was now on top of Rhyhorn with a hold of it's horn with both arms as the Rhyhorn bucked around like a pissed off bull with Munchlax as the rider. "Munchlax, Jump off and hide behind a tree then use Metronome!" Munchlax followed orders and the last buck, Munchlax let go and was flung into a patch of nearby trees, where in the brush the Rhyhorn thought it was rid of it. But within, Munchlax was waggling his pudgy little claws back and forth until finally, it's eyes lit up and it's fist was covered with a sparkling blue coating.

Meanwhile, with the Poochyena airborne, Tauros began running where it was falling to, the Poochyena began to open it's lungs and give off an ear piercing Howl that lit up the area and caused it to land on it's feet before Tauros, still howling. The Intimidation did nothing to Tauros as it continued to stampede towards it. "Tauros! Use Tackle!" Beltran would yell, pointing forward. Tauros did just that, launching it's body at the Poochyena, attempting to crush it under it's sheer weight. But, unknown the Beltran, the Howl had increased Poochyena's strength and it returned Tauros' tackle with one of it's own, knocking Tauros backwards. "Tauros! Horn Attack! Finish it off!" Beltran shouted as his attention was shifted one more.

Munchlax was running from the woods with a trail of sparkles trailing from it's right fist and most of it's arm, it ran towards Rhyhorn who charged it with a Tackle attack. Munchlax's fist however stopped Rhyhorn in it's tracks at impact. Crying in pain, Rhyhorn would take double damage from the Ice Punch Munchlax had used from Metronome's random effect. Rhyhorn would fall, it's entire front half of it's rocky body covered in a quarter inch of frost and ice from the icy blast from Munchlax's fist.

Meanwhile... again. Tauros would rush the Poochyena with it's horns, the Poochyena attempted a tackle at it, but the effects of it's Howl attack had since passed and it found itself being launched into a tree, leaving a large dent behind and nothing more, slowly it got up and was treated to yet another Horn attack from the bull pokemon as it crashed through the tree with it's horns, with Poochyena on the business end.

Beltran waited for what was to happen from the attack on the two wild Pokemon, had he made them faint or not?

Beltran looked on as the Pokemon before him were rendered incapable of movement and have successfully been knocked out. Plucking the a Pokeball off his outfit, he returned his Tauros and yelled to Munchlax. "Come on Munchlax, back to the cave, we have work to do." Munchlax would leap up as Beltran packed up camp, yet again prematurely. He was burning daylight and needed to get into the second floor of the cave ASAP.

As they both took a deep breath, they entered the cave they caught their first Pokemon in... and hopefully not their last.
