The Pokemon Center is a center that provides regulatory services to Trainers, particularly those concerning of the medical field. Pokemon Centers are generally located in every town or city, no matter the size. Due to the building’s functions, the Centers are rather popular for Trainers to congregate and also serves as an adequate resting spot. Pokemon Centers themselves are funded by a large amount of private donations.

Here, you are able to get your Pokemon treatment free of charge, regardless of how serious the treatment may be. Also, there are several machines present within Pokemon Centers. The first is a video phone, capable of transmitting your image along with your voice to another machine anywhere in the world. These are commonly used by trainers far from home to check back in with their loved ones or to check on their pokemon stored in far off places. Attached to these councils are transporters used to send pokemon back to their respective labs.

Also in these buildings are Trading Machines, devices that legally transfers a pokemon to another owner. There is also a “self trade” option in order to invoke evolution in Pokemon that require to be traded without having to go through the stress of actually trading the Pokemon with another person. Lastly, there is the TM/HM Machine, a device that allows the application of TM’s and HM’s upon one’s Pokemon. Both of these machines are also able to be used free of charge.

[Beltran]

After entering the town, Beltran quickly headed towards the lone Pokemon center. Walking in, he would plop down his Pokeballs onto the tray for the nurse on Duty, all except for Sandshrew's ball. "it'll be a few minutes." the pink haired nurse would say as Beltran nodded and headed off to the transportation machine/Phone with Sandshrew in hand. Quickly, he would Dial Professor Sequoia's phone number and wait for it to ring. After a few rings, a video feed of an assistant in the lab would answer.

Quickly, Beltran would speak to the assistant. "I want to train the Buizel I just caught earlier today, can I switch out my Sandshrew for it?" He would speak as the assistant fumbled around and got Buizel's Pokeball off screen and placed it into the transporter and said "Now, take Sandshrew's Pokeball and put it in your transporter and we should be able to switch them out." as he talked, he would push his glasses up further on his nose and press a button after Beltran placed the Pokeball into the machine. Electricity zapped the Pokeball and in an instant, the two were traded instantly.

Beltran then added the Pokeball to his belt and nodded, the Assistant would go on about saying that Professor Sequoia was actually within the same city as Beltran, but Beltran seemed not to be very interested. Maybe he would run into him at some time. Saying his thanks and goodbyes, Beltran turned the phone off, retrieved his healed Pokemon and left the center.
